Frequently asked questions.

The questions we are actually asked, each at its own address and with its source beside it: you can link to one of them alone.

The language does not tell you the country: this page is in the language you chose, not in your country’s, so it does not tell you what your country requires, but what each country’s rule says. Every row names the provision and links it, so you can check it.

The national document, country by country.

Does the eCMR work for domestic carriage in my country?

Fourteen countries we have reviewed, each with its own conditions on the document (content, form or signature), two where we do not claim it, and the ones we have not verified yet.

Fourteen countries, case by case.

We reviewed sources for fourteen countries: each row says which provision supports it and links what was read. They do not all say the same: some require no transport document at all, others admit any document carrying the data they list themselves, and one adds a condition of signature or seal.

Two countries, and we do not claim it.

Here the rule requires a document with prescribed content, and we have found no permission that admits an equivalent form. The product does not issue the national transport document of these two countries. That does not change international carriage, which is governed by the CMR Convention and, among the parties that have adopted it, by its Additional Protocol.

What we have not verified yet.

We have not yet read the domestic road transport rule of these countries, so we claim nothing about it:

The DeCA, question by question.

When does the digital DeCA become mandatory?

Mandatory in digital form from 5 October 2026, for domestic transport and cabotage within Spain.

Can a consignment note serve as a DeCA?

Section Eight of the Resolución allows the DeCA to take the format of a consignment note, of an ADR transport document or of a waste identification document, provided it carries every item of data in article 6 of the Orden FOM/2861/2012.

Does the driver have to carry it printed?

No. It can be carried on a phone or on paper, but always with the QR code, and the QR code on its own is enough.

What about international transport?

The DeCA is for domestic transport and for cabotage in Spain. On an international transport the same sheet is your CMR consignment note or your eCMR, and WeCMR adds nothing from the DeCA to it.

The price, and what happens to your documents.

How much does it cost to create a DeCA with WeCMR?

Right now, nothing. There is no fee, no document limit and no minimum term. The service is in its test phase: free for an indefinite period and being calibrated. One day it will stop being free, and we will tell you first. It will be announced by e-mail to every active account at least seven calendar days in advance, with the prices, the plans and the date it takes effect. Anyone who does not accept the new terms will be able to download their documents and close their account at no cost, and will keep read-only access for the period stated in the notice, which will not be shorter than thirty days.

What happens to my documents if I close my account?

And if one day you leave: closing the account deactivates it, it does not delete it, and your documents stay there. A consignment note whose archived sheet is less than 366 days old cannot be deleted, so that no party is left without the evidence of the carriage. The document's QR code asks for no account: whoever has the link can keep seeing it. And the record of who signed what is kept for at least ten years.

Where each fact comes from.

Checked on 23 September 2026.
